إيفو أندريتش (9 أكتوبر 1892 - 13 مارس 1975 في بلغراد)، أديب بوسني - يوغسلافي, حصل على جائزة نوبل في الأدب لسنة 1961.

الكاتب اليوغسلافي "إيفو أندريتش" الحائز على جائزة "نوبل" للآداب عن روايته الرائعة "جسر على نهر دارينا" تمكن من إيجاد لغة مشتركة وعامة لمخاطبة كل من يجد لذة فنية في القراءة، تماماً كما فعل الروائي نجيب محفوظ في معظم مؤلفاته.
أفلح أندريتش في ذلك لأنه جعل في مضامينه الأدبية التي تعود إلى عالمه الصغير مضامين ذات معان كونية، وقد تكون قصة "الفناء اللعين"، من أنصع الأمثلة على ذلك. فسجن اسطمبول في هذه القصة التي يعتبر مجازاً أدبياً لا نهائياً، تحول مع الوقت إلى سجن أكبر هو هذا العالم الذي نعيش فيه ونعاني منه ونتمتع به في الوقت نفسه.
إيفو أندريتش يصف أبطال قصته العثمانية وهم الذين احتلوا أوطان أجداده بدون كراهية أو عدائية. وكثيراً ما جاءت كتابته عالمية الآفاق فوصف معظم العثمانيين في قصته كأشخاص لهم ملامح إيجابية ويحملون في أنفسهم بعض الأسرار التصوفية والحكمة الشرقية. وتوصية متواضعة إلى القارئ... اقرأها بانتباه ككل مظلوم يريد أن يتغلب على ظالمه.
