فى هذا الكتاب أحيانًا يحلو للبعض أن يقول إن التاريخ ليس سوى مجموعة من المؤامرات والخدع والدسائس. ويدلل أصحاب هذا الرأي على موقفهم بأحداث جسام غيرت وجه الحياة على الأرض، أو غيرت مجرى التاريخ، وكانت الدسائس والمؤامرات وشتى أساليب الخداع والدهاء وراءها. وربما كان لهؤلاء الحق فيما توصلوا إليه. فمتصفح التاريخ يجد من الخدع والدسائس والمؤامرات الكبرى ما كان بالفعل نقطة تحول انتقلت معها الأمم أو الدول أو الجماعات من حال إلى حال. ولعل كان هذا هو السبب في ظهور ما يعرف بـ "نظرية المؤامرة" التي تعتمد "التآمر" كوسيلة لشرح السبب الأول لحدث أو سلسلة من الأحداث السياسية والاجتماعية أو الأحداث التاريخية بشكل عام على أنها نتاج طبيعي لمؤامرة كانت تقف وراءها. وفي هذا الكتاب سنحاول رصد أشهر المؤامرات والدسائس وأساليب الخداع، التي شهدها العالم عبر تاريخه، وكانت سببا في تغيير مجرى التاريخ، أو صعود وسقوط أمم وممالك، أو التخلص من زعماء وقادة، أو ملوك وأمراء.. إلخ. ويتكون الكتاب من ثلاثة عشر فصلا ، كل يغطي فترة تاريخية، ويبدأ بالدسائس والمؤامرات في مصر الفرعونية ثم في بلاد الإغريق فالإمبراطورية الرومانية. ثم ينتقل الكتاب إلى الدسائس والمؤامرات ضد الأنبياء، ثم مؤامرات اليهود ضد رسول الإسلام والإنسانية صلى الله عليه وسلم ، ثم الدسائس والمؤامرات في الدولة العثمانية. ثم يتحول الكتاب إلى الدسائس والمؤامرات في الدولة الأموية، فالدولة العباسية، ثم الدسائس والمؤامرات في العصور الوسطى، فالدسائس والمؤامرات في الدولة الفاطمية ثم الدولة المملوكية، ثم الدولة العثمانية. ثم يتناول الكتاب المؤامرات والدسائس اليهودية والماسونية، وكيف أن الماسونية هى أكبر مؤامرة كونية . ثم يتناول الكتاب دسائس ومؤامرات الألفية الثالثة، وبينها نظريات المؤامرة في هجمات سبتمبر، و"داعش" وكيف أصبحت مؤامرة أمريكية لإعادة إنتاج كارثة العراق في سوريا. هذا الكتاب هو بحث تاريخي شامل يقدم صورا حية لمؤامرات ودسائس وأساليب خداع غيرت وجه العالم.
