لقد وضعت في كتابي هذا قصصاً من حياة بعض العظماء، آخذاً باعتباري أن تكون هذه القصة ذات أحداث متتالية مترابطة، لتكون أمتع وأسهل قراءة، وإلا فالتاريخ ملئ بهؤلاء العظماء الذين تركوا بصمات واضحة وآثاراً نافعة لأنفسهم وأمتهم.
ولقد علقت علي كل قصة بتعليق أبين فيه جانب العظمة الذي أستهدفه وأستشرفه عند الرجال، وإلا فهؤلاء الرجال يملكون من صفات التميز ما تعجز هذه الصفحات عن إبرازه.
وعندما خطت يدي هذه المقدمة، كنت علي علم ويقين أن خير الناس وسيد ولد آدم وأشرف وأعظم من مشي علي الأرض هو نبينا وسيدنا محمد "صلي الله عليه وسلم"، ولكني لم أشأ أن يقول القائل هذا رسول مؤيد من السماء يرعاه الله ويحفظه في كل خطوة يخطوها، فكيف نصل إلي ما وصل، ولذا جعلت أبطالي كما ستري لا ملكاً بينهم ولا رسولا.
لتعلم أني قد كتبت من أجل الشباب، من أجل من ينهض التاريخ بسواعدهم، ومن تسمو بهمتهم أوطانهم، فإن كنت من هؤلاء الشباب، فهذا كتابي بين يديك قصصه سهلة العبارة، متتابعة الأحداث، لعلك تجد فيه الأنس والمتعة والفائدة.
وإن كنت مربياً "أباً، معلماً، ..." فهو لك أيضاً تجعله مداداً لما عندك من قصص وعبر، تأمل بها أن تنهض بهمة من تعول وتربي.
