"سرير أبيض"، تطالعُنا في هذا الكتاب قصصٌ تنحاز للبوحِ والمكاشفة الذاتية، وخصوصاً تسريبِ صورِ ومشاهد وحكاياتِ الذاكرة، تنفتحُ القصص كذلك على نوافذ عديدةٍ، تقتنصُ لحظةً شعرية، مشهداً عابراً، وتُدخل كلَّ شيءٍ إلى معسكر الحكي، ليتسرب كما النمل من جديد ويتشعب بين مدنٍ وأناسٍ وتفاصيل صغيرة تحكي المكانَ وقاطنيه، وتستعين أحياناً بخيالٍ يتسع لأمكنة وحكاياتٍ أخرى، وأناسٍ آخرين، في أوطان قريبة تسقط أمامها معايير الجغرافيا.
سنجدُ أنفسنا، عبر صفحات الكتاب، في مواجهة مرآة متحرّكة، تتنقَّل بين فضاءٍ وآخر، لتجعل من صورتنا عليها، صورةً لكل الأبطال الحقيقيين أو المتخيلين، بين طفل ومجنون وغريق ومريض ولاجئ وقاتل وغير صالح للحياة وقط مثير للريبة وسيارة صفراء وغرفة مستطيلة وباب مخلوع، وحيثُ لن نكون بحاجةٍ إلى تغيير ملامحنا لتنسجم مع ملامح راوي القصة أو بطلها، ذلك أن عفراء محمود تقف بضمير الأنا أمام تلك المرآة، لتكتب قصصها ولا تداري انكساراتها كما أحلامها في حشدِ أسئلة الوجود وما يعيشُه إنسان الألفية الثالثة من حروبٍ وصراعات وتناقضات كبيرة.
الأسِرَّةُ البيضاء، هي فضاء مفتوح على كلِّ شيء، كما هو نص عفراء محمود القصصي: "سرير أبيض"، كتجربة أولى لها أن تنفتح هي الأخرى على نوافذ متعددة في الكتابة السردية.
