يضم هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه تقريراً عن النشاط النووي الإيراني منذ أن بدأ في السبعينيات من القرن الماضي وقبل قيام الثورة الإيرانية وحتي فرض العقوبات على إيران من قبل مجلس الأمن الدولي من ناحية أو من قبل الولايات المتحدة من ناحية أخري، ويتتبع هذا التقرير كل التحركات الدبلوماسية التي نشطت في السنوات الماضية من أجل وقف عملية تخصيب اليورانيوم في إيران، وموقف الدول الكبرى من هذه القضية، كما يوضح أيضاً الموقف الإسرائيلي وقلق إسرائيل المستمر وحثها لأمريكا على ضرب المواقع النووية والعسكرية الهامة في إيران، وأهم الخطط العسكرية والسيناريوهات المقترحة لهذا الغرض. كما يركز هذا التقرير أيضاً على وجهة النظر الإيرانية بعد أن تولى الرئيس محمود أحمدي نجاد رئاسة الجمهورية الإيرانية عام 2005م وتأكيده المستمر على حق إيران المشروع في الاستخدام السلمي للطاقة النووية.
ولم يهمل التقرير كذلك موقف الدول العربية، ولمزيد من الفائدة ضم هذا التقرير في نهايته معجما صغيراً يتضمن بعض المصطلحات الشائعة في الفارسية حول النووي مترجمة إلى اللغة العربية والعكس، حتي يفيد منها المتخصصون في مجال الدراسات الإيرانية.
