"سراويل المدينة" نص غريب، وغرابته أو غربته نابعة من موضوع المتشذر والمتشظي: مدينة متوسطية حافلة بعشرات من أصناف الناس الذين يمارسون كل المهن، ولا يمارسون شيئاً، ويعيشون كانهم لا يعيشون. وحين يموتون لا تبكى عليهم السماء ولا الأرض، مجرد قارورة بلاستيكية تحطمت. مدينة حافلة بالأسواق الداخلية والخارجية، حيث تبيع نفسها بأبخس الأثمان، حتى ليسومها المفلسون. وحافلة بالسواح والحشاشين والمتسولين واللواطيين والعاهرات والمجانين والمجذوبين.. ووسط كل هؤلاء يقف أو يتحرك "المافيا" مسدسه الخيالي فى كل الاتجاهات، ويطلقه على كل العاهات والأمراض والأوساخ والآلام.
