كتاب " أعطيت الشمس كل شيئ " مختارات من الشعر الفرنسي ، ترجمة رضى القاعوري ، هو الكتاب الثالث من مختارات الشعر الفرنسي ، وفيه قام المترجم برحلة إنسانية وجمالية في أشعار ثلاثة من كبار شعراء فرنسا في القرن العشرين ، اثنان سيرياليان هما "غويوم أبولونير" و"روبير دينوس" ، وواحد رمزي و" كلاسيكي جديد " هو "بول فاليري" ، وقد اختار المترجم هذا العنوان للكتاب لأن الشمس هي الحقيقة عند الشعراء السيرياليين ، بل عند جميع شعراء الكرة الأرضية ، يقول المترجم في استهلاله أن هناك مقولة لابد أن نعكسها وهي مقولة " بين حضارة وحضارة هناك تخوم دامية "، فعندما ننتقي من الحضارات الأخرى ما فيها من جوانب إنسانية مشرقة ومن جماليات تبهر العين وتهز القلب لنؤسس لحوار حضاري وتلاقح ثقافي ، يساهمان في تطور الإنسان ، فنحن بذلك قد عكسنا المقولة لتصبح " بين كل حضارة وحضارة تخوم خضراء ".
