يدور موضوع دراستي حول الدفاع عن شخص المسيح (عليه السلام) وإزالة الشوائب من حوله، المسيح عيسى ابن مريم (عليه السلام) الذي أصبح الآن في كثير من كتابات الغرب المسيحي يعد أسطورة من أساطير الأولين من بعد مزاحمة مسيح بولس الكوني له..!! فهناك صراع قائم لم تخمد نيرانه- في الغرب المسيحي- منذ أن اندلعت في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي، وإزدادت حدة وتوهجاً في مطلع القرن الواحد والعشرين. وقد نشب هذا الصراع بين علماء المسيحية في الغرب حول ما يطلق عليه بالمسيح التاريخي- أي عيسى ابن مريم الإسرائيلي المولود من عذراء بدون أب في فلسطين- وبين ما يطلق عليه بالمسيح الكوني- أي مسيح الإيمان الذي قال به بولس ومن تابعه وسار في زمرته- وانكمشت المعرفة الصحيحة في عصر المعرفة والتكنولوجيا بشأن المسيح التاريخي.
وموضوع هذه الدراسة حساس وخطير لم تطاوعني نفسي بالكتابة عنه منذ مدة طويلة خشية الفتنة والتعصب البغيض، وما يفهم خطأ مما أقوله. ولكن الله سبحانه وتعالى شرح صدري للكتابة عنه بعد أن شاهدت الحملة المسعورة من علماء الغرب المسيحي في مطلع الألفية الثالثة لميلاد المسيح (عليه السلام) والموجهة ضد المسيح التاريخي في عشرات من الكتب التي تحمل أسماء تجارية مثل: لغز المسيح، المسيح الأسطورة، وهل وجد المسيح حقاً..!؟ وهل المسيح حقيقة أو خرافة..!؟ إلأى غير ذلك من مسميات. ونظراً لخلو المكتبة العربية من مثل هذه الكتب وبالتالي من الرد عليها دفاعاً عن المسيح (عليه السلام). فقد وفقني الله تعالى ويسر لي الأسباب لكتابة هذه الدراسة المتواضعة بغية نشر المعرفة والهداية، مستمسكاً بمنهجي المفضل إلى قلبي وعقلي وهو العودة إلى الأصل بفكر العصر مراعياً أن يكون هناك دائماً الجيد المفيد. فأدليت بدلوي حباً في ري بني قومي من المسيحيين المحبين للحق والحقيقة. وأيضاً للمسلمين المثقفين الباحثين في شخصية المسيح (عليه السلام).
