نحاول التأمّل في هذا العالم الواسع بخطوطه المتشعّبة، فنقف حائرين إزاء هذا الإبداع الرائع، نتساءل ونتحاور فيما بيننا وداخل أنفسنا، ونصنع في أذهاننا أفكاراً نصرّح ببعضها ونخفي بعضها الآخر تحت مسمّيات شتّى.
تسير بنا أرواحنا إلى متناقضات قد نحسمها وقد لا نحسمها؛ لأنّنا لا نستطيع إثباتها، مّما يضطرّنا إلى الوقوف عند حدود من التفكير تطبيقاً لواقع الحال.
خرج أفلاطون منذ آلاف السنين فأجاد - في فلسفته - في نظريّات المعرفة والوجود والسياسة والأخلاق، وكانت أمامه وجهتا نظر في نظريّة المعرفة حاول التوفيق بينهما؛ أولاهما: النظريّة الحسيّة، الّتي ترى أن المعرفة هي ما يحصل من إنطباعات حسيّة؛ وثانيتهما: النظريّة العقليّة، وما أراد أن يوصله إلينا أفلاطون هو أنّ المعرفة ليست حسيّة خالصة، وليست معرفة عقليّة خالصة.
أمّا الوجود، فيتمثّل بالنفس الإنسانيّة، ومصيرها، وخلودها؛ ثمّ بنشأة الكون وتكوينه ووجوده، وأخيراً بالوجود الإلهيّ.
وأمّا السياسة، فأبرز ما فيها المدينة الفاضلة الّتي أراد أفلاطون، من تأسيسها، إسعاد البشريّة، والوصول إلى مثال الخير، وأمّا الأخلاق، فقد انطلق أفلاطون - أوّلاً - من: علاقة النفس بالجسد، إذ إنّ النفس تحيا حياةً سابقةً في عالم المعقول، وهو ما يسمّيه أفلاطون عالم المثُل.
لكنّ هذه الحياة لم تدم، لأنّ النفس عوقبت فحلت في جسدٍ في عالمٍ المحسوس، العالم المرئيّ؛ وأصبحت النفس بالتالي صورةً عن عالم المُثل، حينها أصبح هذا الجسد عائقاً بين النفس وفضيلتها، وانطلق - ثانياً - من نظريّة المُثل، إذ يقوم على اساس أنّ الفضيلة هي المعرفة، والمعرفة مرتبطة إرتباطاً مباشراً بنظريّة المُثل الّتي أدّت إلى صنع القرار الأخلاقيّ.
