يبرز الكتاب أن الدعوة إلى الله عز وجل هي مهمة جليلة، فهي مهمة الرسل والأنبياء الذين هم خيرة الله من عباده، وسفراؤه إلى خلقه، وهي أيضا مهمة خلفاء الرسل، وورثتهم من العلماء العاملين، والدعاة المخلصين الصادقين، وهي أفضل الأعمال بعد الإيمان بالله تعالى ؛ لأن ثمرتها هداية الناس إلى الحق وتحبيبهم في الخير وتنفيرهم من الباطل والشر، وإخراجهم من الظلمات إلى النور، ولذلك يبرهن على أن الدعوة إلى الله ليست بالأمر الهين الذي يقابل بالإغضاء والسكوت، أو الموافقة والقبول، وكما يوضح أن هذه الدعوة العظيمة تحتاج إلى دعاة أقوياء وهداة أشداء ومبلغين صابرين يتناسبون مع عظمتها، قادرين على أن يمدوا أشعة ضيائها في أنفس الناس وعقولهم وضمائرهم .
