جوني منصور مؤرخ فلسطيني من عرب 48، ولد في حيفا في عام 1960. وهو محاضر في قسم دراسات التاريخ في الكلية الأكاديمية في بيت بيرل. متخصص بتاريخ الشرق الأوسط الحديث، وله اهتمام بتاريخ فلسطين الحديث والمعاصر، والقضية الفلسطينية، وتاريخ المدن الفلسطينية وخصوصًا حيفا.
حياته
ولد جوني منصور في مدينة حيفا في 25 كانون أول – ديسمبر من العام 1960. درس المرحلة الابتدائية في مدرسة راهبات الناصرة بحيفا، وأنهى الثانوية في الكلية الأرثوذكسية العربية في حيفا في عام 1978. ثم تابع دراسته في جامعة حيفا في موضوعي تاريخ الشرق الأوسط والفلسفة، فنال درجة البكالوريوس وشهادة معلم مؤهل. حصل على درجة الماجستير من الجامعة نفسها، ثم درجة الدكتوراة في التاريخ من جامعة سانت بطرسبورغ في عام 1988. يعمل في حقل التربية والتعليم منذ قرابة 38 عامًا. وهو ناشط سياسي واجتماعي من خلال عدّة أطر وهيئات محلية وعالمية. أشغل منصب مدير بنك المعلومات في "مدار" – المركز الفلسطيني للدراسات الإسرائيلية في رام الله.

لا يمكن أن تمرّ الذكرى المئويّة لهذا التصريح دون أن نقف عندها فاحصين ومدقّقين جيّداً في مخلّفاته وآثاره وتداعياته على الشعب الفلسطيني والشعوب العربيّة عامةً، وعلى منطقة الشرق الأوسط بطبيعة الحال.
لم يكن التصريح وليد ساعته، بل كل عبارةً عن خلاصةٍ فكريّة وسياسيّة لمشاريع إستيلائيّة إستعماريّة إقتلاعيّة للمنطقة وضعتها أكبر دولة إستعماريّة في ذلك الزمان: بريطانية.
وفي الوقت ذاته، لا يمكننا أن نتجاهل دور بريطانية المتحالف مع الحركة الصهيونية في تحقيق الهدف المركزيّ من وراء التصريح وهو الإستيلاء على فلسطين، وطرد سكانها أو شريحة واسعة منهم، والشروع في إقامة أسس دولةٍ يهوديّة على أرض فلسطين.
والتصريح، وإن كان رسالةً شخصيّةً أرسلها بلفور إلى روتشيلد، هو وثيقةً رسميّةً مصادق عليها من حكومة بريطانية، ويمثّل سياسات هذه الحكومة تجاه المنطقة وشعوبها، وبالذات تجاه فلسطين والفلسطينيّين.
إنّ تصريح بلفور ليس وعداً لليهود فقط، بل هو خطة لإقتلاع الشعب العربيّ الفلسطينيّ من أرضه ووطنه وتاريخه وحضارته...
