إن الباحث الخبير- حين ينظر في هذه الكتب التراثية ويحلل ما فيها من معلومات تحليلاً علمياً- يفاجأ بما تضمنته من معلومات علمية غزيرة تطابق النتائج التي وصل إليها العلم الحديث ف وقتنا هذا، فليس غريباً- إذاً- أن يظهر كتاب في ذلك العصر- هو هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا- يتحدث عن التلوث ومعالجته بتفصيل وخصوصية، وكذلك عن الأمراض الناتجة عنه وكيفية معالجتها، وهو كتاب في الكثير من الآراء التي تستحق الدراسة والتحليل، كما سنرى. ولذلك قمنا بتحقيق هذا الكتاب، وأما التحليل فقد إقتصرنا فيه على جانب التلوثات ومعالجتها فقط، ويتضمن هذا الكتاب عشر مقالات بحث فيه المؤلف النقاط التلية: المقالة الأولى نقل فيها كلام الحكماء القدامى حول تغيرات الجو والأمراض التي تنتج عنها، المقالة الثانية تحدث فيها عن بعض الحالات الوبائية التي تنتشر في أوقات معينة عن طريق الهواء، وكيفية إنتشار العدوى من المرضى إلى الأصحاء، المقالة الثالثة خصصها للبحث في التدابير الوقائية المتخذة ضد الإصابة بالأمراض المنقولة بالهواء، المقالة الرابعة وضح فيها كيفية إصلاح الهواء والماء الفاسدين، وفي المقالة الخامسة نقل أدوية هندية وأشربة مسكرة ذات دور وقائي ضد الأمراض، والمقالة السادسة بحث فيها المعالجة بالطبيب والموسيقى، والمقالة السابعة شرح فيها الإختلاطات التي تحصل بين الأمراض الجسدية والنفسية، وزالمقالة الثامنة تكلم فيها عن الجدري والحصبة والماشرا على أنها أمراض وبائية لها علاقة بالتلوث، وخصص المقالة التاسعة كاملة للأدوية والعلاجات، وأما العاشرة فنقل فيها بعض الأدوية المفردة عن جالينوس، فنرى إذاً أن هذا المخطوط موسوعة مصغرة تعالج موضوع التلوث وما ينتج عنه من أوبئة وكيفية معالجتها بالطرق المختلفة.
