هذا الكتاب يعيد النظر في حديث يعد من أهم الأحاديث التي لها أثر بالغ في تحديد ومعرفة الطريق الصحيح إلى المذهب الحق, وتمييزه عن غيره, على وفق القواعد المحررة والأصول المقررة عند أئمة الحديث وجهابذة الجرح والتعديل المذكور في كتب الفريقين, كالنكت لابن حجر العسقلاني أو تدريب الراوي للسيوطي أو مقباس الهداية في علم الدراية للمامقاني أو غيرها من الكتب المعدة لهذا الشأن, مع تقويم بعض الأحكام التي لا سند يسندها ولا حجة تعضدها والتي دندن بها كثير ممن لا يعرفون الحيّ من الليّ.
ثم أن في هذا الحديث متنين مشهورين أحداهما: "تركت فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وسنتي", والثاني: "تركت فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وعترتي أهل بيتي".
- ففي القسم الأول, تجد أن الحديث "تركت فيكم كتاب الله وسنتي" قد ورد من عدة طرق, وليس كما يعتقد بعض الباحثين, أن له طريقاً واحداً أو طريقين.
- ثم هل يصح عزو الحديث الى الصحيحين وبقية السنن الأربعة وكذلك إلى الإمام أحمد؟! أو لا؟!
أما في القسم الثاني: حديث "تركت فيكم كتاب الله وعترتي أهل بيتي", فإن على الدارس أو الباحث أن يراعى أموراً مهمة عند الحكم على الأحاديث التي يحتجّ بها, أو عندما يسند التصحيح إلى بعض المصححين لها من أهل السنة ويغض النظرعمن ضعفها منهم, أو يستعمل عبارة الصحاح الستة مطلقاً.
- ثم هل يعد هذا الحديث متواتراً؟! أو لا؟! وما تأثير ذلك في صحة الحديث.
- ثم هل هناك إشكال في أن نعد نساء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من أهل البيت على وفق المعنى اللغوي والعرفي الذي أكده القرآن الكريم في أكثر من آية ؟! أو لا؟!
