لا شك أن القراءة لا زالت على عرشها من حيث أنها الوسيلة الأولى للمعرفة والتلقي، ولا بد أن يعلم الآباء والأمهات أن القراءة لها دور عظيم في تربية الأطفال؛ فهي التي تعطيهم المعرفة وتثبت عندهم الهوية، وهي القادرة على إخراج جيل عظيم يمكنه تغيير الكثير من الأوضاع.
ولا ريب أن فن القصة من بين كل الفنون لا يزال هو المسيطر على وجدان أطفالنا؛ حيث تجذبهم القصة وتؤثر فيهم؛ بل وهم الأقدر على حل رموزها ومعرفة مغزاها، وإخراج الدروس المستفادة منها.
ولكن وسط عالم حر صغير تتنقل فيه المعرفة بسرعة الضوء باتت القصة سلاح ذو حدين عندما بادر غيرنا بإدخال أفكارهم وهويتهم وثقافاتهم في قصص وجهت للأطفال العرب خصيصًا.
ولقد اطلعت على الكثير منها بنفسي فوجدت أنها دون أن يشعر ولي الأمر؛ ستعمق في نفوس أطفالنا التبعية للعالم الغربي وستعطيهم نمطًا في الحياة يختلف تمام الاختلاف عن نمط حياتنا؛ بل وجدتها تغرس في نفوسهم الإحباط والشعور بأن الطفل العربي أقل من أقرانه في العالم الغربي. وكان هذا هو الدافع لي على كتابة هذه القصص التي قصدت من خلالها التأكيد على هوية الطفل العربي وعلى القضايا الهامة التي يجب أن ينشغل بها، ويجب أن ننشغل بها كآباء وأمهات ومربين أثناء تربيتهم.
وأحب أن أوجه نظر من سيقوم بقراءة هذه القصص لطفله أن يقرأها بلغتها العربية، ويقوم بتفسير ما يطلبه الطفل فقط. وألا يقوم بتفسير الرمز أثناء قراءة القصة، ثم لا ينتقل إلى قراءة قصة جديدة حتى يناقش الطفل في أحداث القصة، مع دفع الطفل إلى إخراج الدروس المستفادة من كل قصة وتفسير الرمز بنفسه، وأخذ رأيه فيما أعجبه وما لم يعجبه في الأحداث، ثم الرد عليه مع أخذ وجهة نظره فيما أصاب فيه الكاتب وفيما أخطأ.
ومن أهم ما يمكن فعله في القصص أن نطلب من أبنائنا أن يقوموا بتغيير أحداث القصة أو نهايتها حتى ندفعهم للتفكير وإعمال الذهن فلا يكون مجرد متلقي سلبي؛ ويمكن أن يقوم بذلك كتابة، مما ينمي تفكيره وقدراته اللغوية.
