يتناول هذا الكتاب خواطر المؤلف بشأن رسول الاسلام محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وهى خواطر قليله ومتناثرة لا ولن تفى بمقدار الحب الجارف الذى يصفه المؤلف لقائده ونبيه وقدره المسلمين جميعا الى يوم الدين .. وقد قرر المؤلف ان يكتب عن النبى وهو يعده بذلك وهو امام قبرة فى المدينه المنوره ولما عاد الى مصر قرر ان يؤلف هذا الكتاب فالفه وهو لا يزعم انه سياتى بجديد الا ان الجديد فيه صدق الشعور وقوة العاطفة وهو لايعد دراسه اكاديمية بالمعنى الدقيق لكلمة اذ لم يحرص فيه على التوثيق بل اتجه الى الايجاز والتركيز قد الاستطاعه ليصل بصورة مباشرة للفراء على اختلاف مشاريهم الثقافيه .
