هذا هو أول كتاب مترجم مباشرة عن اللغة اليونانية القديمة للنص الادبى الأسطورى "لحياة الإسكندر" لمؤلفه مجهول الهوية، والذى أسماه النقاد المحدثون: كالليسثينيس - المزيف، تيمنا، من ناحية، بذكرى وعمل المؤرخ الأصلى المعاصر للأسكندر، ومن ناحية أخرى، تمييزا له عن سابقه.
اعتمد صاحب هذه الرواية الأسطورية، التى بين أيدينا، أسلوبا فريدا فى الكتابة التاريخية، وهو الإعتماد الكلى على الكلام المباشر، وليس السرد، فاستنطق شخصياته التاريخية الحقيقة بكلام وأحاديث، مما بعث روحا جديدة لحكاياته وحواديته، وجعلها أقرب إلى المصداقية!!.
