يشرح المؤلف فى هذا الكتاب اللحظات الاخيرة للحكام على عرش مصر فقد جلس عليها باشا وخديوى وملك ورئيس جمهورية .. والمقصود بالعرش هو الحكم اى اللحظات الاخيرة للحاكم ايا كان لقيه فقد كان محمد على يحمل لقب باشا كوالى للدولة العثمانية ثم اصبحت مصر دولة شبه مستقلة وان مكانت تابعة للدولة العثمانية اسما ولانجلترا جعلا محمل عباس حلمى لقب الخديوى ثم استقلت مصر استقلالا شكليلا عن انجلترا فجعل الحاكم لقب سلطان ثم ملك والذى حمله فؤاد وفاروق فقط ثم حكمها محمد نجيب كاول رئيس لمصر لمدة سنتين فقط ثم عبد الناصر ثم السادات حتى عصرنا الحالى وقد اضاف المؤلف على الحكام شخصيات مهمه اثارت الكثير من الجدل حولها كشخصيه المشير عن الحكم عامر وكذلك حكاما غير العرب مثل هتلر فقد كان وجودهم فى مجرى احداث التاريخ مهم جدا
