The Prisoner of conscience tells the romantic tale of these two lovers, torn apart by the death of Mary’s father who died after having a heart attack when he learnt of her escape from Lebanon- a death Mary blames on her youthful impudence in attempting to avoid her family’s possible objection to her marriage to a Muslim by running away with Issac to Syria.
While Mary beings anew in the United States where she migrated to with her mother and grand mother after abandoning Issac because of her father demise, Issac struggles through the bitter civil war in Lebanon, sustained by the burning desire of winning her heart once again.
Will his plan to reunite with Mary be ever realized?.
