ما يميز هذا الكتاب هو السعي إلى تأصيل السُّنَّة النبوية للمواساة، وتقديم منهج متميز في جميع الجوانب المادية والمعنوية والنفسية كما أنّه يُسهم في تصنيف الأحاديث المتعلِّقة بالمواساة تصنيفاً موضوعيًّا، ويُقرِّب السُّنَّة النَّبويَّة لأهل الاختصاصات والعلوم الأخرى ويقترح وسائل لتطبيق المنهج النبوي في المواساة…
تقول الكاتبة: "إن ترسيخ الأخلاق الفاضلة من أهمّ مقاصد بعثة النَّبيّ الكريم وهي جزء من الإيمان والاعتقاد. وقد اعتنى الإسلام برفع المجتمع المسلم والارتقاء به وبأفراده بتقرير جملةٍ من الأخلاق الفاضلة، منها خُلق المواساة، كتطييب خواطر الضعفاء أو المكلومين أو المنكسرين، ولأن النَّبيّ الكريم هو الأسوة الحسنة والقدوة والمثال التطبيقي لهذا الدين العظيم، والنموذج الذي يُحتذى خطوه في الالتزام بهذا الشرع القويم، كان علينا أن ننظر في سيرته وأن نتبع منهجه لنهتدي إلى أفضل المسالك. وقد كملت المحاسن له خَلْقاً وخُلُقاً، ومهما تحلّى البشر بأخلاقهم فإن الأخلاق قد تحلّت هي باتصاف رسول الله بها، فلا تُعرف روعة الكرم إلا إذا ذكر مثاله بتحلّي رسول الله به، ولا تُعرف عظمة الحلم والشفقة والرأفة والتواضع إلا إذا أقيمت الشواهد لها من حياة رسول الله، فكان على المؤمن أن يتأمل سيرته ويستقي من سنته ما يُرشده لطريق المواساة الأفضل، ويدلُّه على مسالك المواساة وأساليبها، وهذا ما سيعرضه البحث، بإذن الله".
