هذا الكتاب هو أحد كتب سلسلة بنات حول الرسول وهي سلسلة يؤرخ فيها المؤلف الاستاذ " ابراهيم الجمل" لحياة كل واحدة منهن باختصار مفيد وبإيجاز لا يخل بالمضمون، ففي هذا الكتاب اهتم المؤلف بذكر كامل لحياة أم المؤمنين السيدة عائشة زوج الرسول وابنه صديقه وخليله أبو بكر الصديق، حيث يبدأ بذكر نبذه عن نسبها وعن مولدها وحياتها وخطبتها للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وكيف كانت قبل وبعد الخطبة ثم زواجها وصفتها وكيف كانت في بيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وكيف أصبحت بعد وفاته، ثم انتقل إلى ذكر صفاتها من تقوى وورع وزهد وعبادة وجود وكرم وبلاغة وفصاحة وعلم وفقه حتى يصل إلى مرضها ووفاتها رضي الله عنها.
