يأتي هذا الكتاب استجابة لرغبة الخبراء والمختصين الذي شاركوا مع المركز العربي للتدريب المهني وإعداد المدربين في لقاءات والأنماط.
وهو يتكون من خمسة فصول، أفرد المؤلفون الفصل الأول: للمنهجيات والآليات المتعلقة بالشراكة بين التعليم والتدريب وسوق العمل، مبرراتها وأهدافها، ومعاييرها، والتوجهات العالمية فيها.
أما الفصل الثاني من الكتاب: فقد تطرق إلى موضوع تطوير المناهج والبرامج التدريبية وتجاوبها مع سوق العمل من خلال المفهوم وأسس التطوير ونماذج وأساليب التطوير المقترحة، مع إيراد بعض التجارب العالمية في هذا المجال.
وجاء الفصل الثالث:مستعرضاً وشارحاً لأنماط التعليم والتدريب المرتبطة باحتياجات سوق العمل، ومنها التعاوني والمتناوب والمزدوج والتلمذة المهنية والتدريب الموازي والمجزأ، والوحدات التدريبية الإنتاجية، إضافة لأنماط أخرى مختلفة.
وتحدث الفصل الرابع: عن التعليم والتدريب المهني المنتج، مورداً تجارب عربية ودولية معاصرة في التعليم وحقل العمل والإنتاج السلعي والخدمة في التعليم والإنتاج والتدريب، وكذلك مساراً متطوراً للشراكة بين التعليم وحقل العمل.
وتحدث الفصل الخامس والأخير: عن موضوع تمويل مؤسسات التعليم والتدريب المهني من خلال واقع وأساسيات التمويل، مبيناً أن التعليم والتدريب المهني صناعة واستثمار، مبرزاً مقومات الإنفاق والتمويل في التعليم والتدريب، والسمات العربية المشتركة، مع إيراد بعض دراسات الحالة العربية في التمويل، مقترحاً بعض الآليات لتمويل التعليم والتدريب المهني العربي. وقد وضعنا في آخر الكتاب مسرداً للمصطلحات الواردة مترجمة إلى العربية.
