ديوان السجاد ينسب إلى الإمام زين العابدين علي بن الحسين عليه السلام، وهو في حدود 150 بيتاً مرتباً على حروف القوافي، ويحتوي من أول بيت فيه إلى آخر بيت على حكم، ومواعظ، وتذكير، وترغيب، وترهيب، وهذه كما لا يخفى هو دَيْدَنُ أهل البيت عليهم السلام لرفع المستوى الخلقي والفكري والثقافي بين أبناء الأمة الإسلامية. ولأهمية الديوان اعتنى "ماجد بن أحمد العطية" بتحقيق مادته، وبالرجوع إلى عمله بالتحقيق نجد أنه يتجلى بـ: أولاً: شرح بعض الألفاظ اللغوية أو التي احتاجت إلى توضيح وبيان، ثانياً: وضع لكل بيت رقماً، ثالثاً: ذكر لكل قصيدة مناسبتها.
