هذا الكتاب من الأبحاث المهمة في علم العقيدة والكلام يقدم من خلاله مؤلفه الأستاذ عبد اللطيف عمر المحيميد (دراسة تأهيلية تحليلية نقدية) تُعرّف القارىء والدارس لهذا العلم الصحيح من الخاطىء من أقوال العلماء، والفرق، ولذلك اختار موضوعاً يتكلم في هذه الأصول وهذه الدلالات، وحاول من خلاله أن يبيّن أمثلة وضوابط للنقل وللنسبة إلى الغير، مع الحرص على الكتابة بموضوعية تامة، دون تحيّز لمذهب من المذاهب. استناداً إلى ما تقدم توزع الكتاب إلى عدد من الفصول والمباحث التي تناولت الموضوع من كافة جوانبه ومنها أثر الخطأ في نقل الرأي في العلوم الإسلامية، حيث ذكر المؤلف أثر الخطأ في نقل القول على العلوم الإسلامية غير العقيدة، كالتفسير وعلوم القرآن والحديث وعلوم السُّنَّة والفقه وأصوله وعلم التاريخ، كما تحدث عن التفكير كأثرٍ من آثار الخطأ في نقل القول، مثل التكفير عن حديث افتراق الأمة، وموقف العلماء منه، وتوجيههم له وأثره في شيوع التكفير بين الأمة وبالأخص العلماء منهم، ثم تناول تبادل الألقاب المنبوذة كالجبرية والقدرية والمرجئة والمشبهة، كما بيّن موقف القرآن والسُّنَّة من التعميم الفاسد بعد تعريفه، وإيضاح الفرق بينه وبين التعميم الصحيح ... وغيرها.
وفي هذا السياق أيضاً تحدث المؤلف عن الإحتكام إلى الكتب المشكوك في نسبتها إلى أصحابها، حيث عرض فيه للحديث عن كتاب الفقه الأكبر لأبي حنيفة، والفقه الأكبر للشافعي، والفوائد المشؤِّق إلى علوم القرآن وعلم البيان لإبن قيم الجوزية، وكذلك الرسالة الذهبية إلى إبن تيمية للذهبي، كما تناول الخلاف في تحريف بعض الكتب، وأثر هذا التحريف في نسبة الأقوال والآراء إلى اصحابها ... كما بيّن المؤلف الخطأ في نسبة الآراء في الإلهيات مثل مسائل الإيمان والتوحيد والعالم وقدمه وحدوثه عند الفلاسفة والمتكلمين المعتزلة والمحدثين كإبن تيمية وغيره .. وفي هذا الإطار أيضاً حديث حول مكانة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ومعجزاته، ومسائل متعلقة بعالمي الجن والملائكة واليوم الآخر وأحداثه كالحساب ونطق الجوارح والميزان ونشر الصحف والحوض والصراط والمساءلة وفناء النار وزوالها ...
