لم يكن للمتأمل عجبا أن يتجلى له فى قصائد هذا الديوان رافدان معجبان، تراهما يتباعدان فى المنبع ويمتزجان فى مجرى إبداعه الدافق، وهما يتوحدان من وجه ويفترقان من وجه.
فأما وجه توحدهما فإن كليهما مظهر لسر الشاعرية الحقة الذى لا يختلف على جوهره بين الملكات، وإن كان التفاوت فى تجلياته راتباً بين آحاد الشعراء ومفردات القصائد.
وأما وجه افتراقهما فإن أحدهما رافد يتحدر عبابه من تراث العربية الخالد فيمور به إبداع الشاعر رصانة وفخامة وأسراً، وأما الآخر فينتسب إلى اللحون الشاجية التى تنبعث من معازف الرادة والمجددين من شعراء المهجر وأبولو وعباقرة الشعر الجديد.
ترى! يكون عجباً للقارئ المتنقل بذائقته بين ذين اللحنين أن يلحظ بادئ التلقي ما هي عليه من تباين فى المذاق والإيقاع وجماليات التشكل؟.
لا أحسب الأمر كذلك، فبستان الشعر عند صاحب هذا الديوان يسقى بماء واحد، ويخرج نباته متشابهاً وغير متشابه، وليس على الشاعر من بأس إن فضل القارئ بعضها على بعض فى الأكل، فقد خلق الله ذوائق الناس أضيافاً، بيد أنها جميعاً ثمرات طيبات لهذا التكوين الشاعري الجميل، الذى ينجدل فى تضاعيف نسيجه الطريف والتالد، ويمتزج فى مجراه الأصيلوالوافد، ثم تنشئه الشاعرية المقتدرة خلقاً آخر؛ لتضح بذلك قضية القضايا فى ديوان شاعرنا؛ ألا وهى أن الإبداع الجميل ليس حصيراً فيما يسمونه بالحداثه، وليس معانداً لما يصمونه بالقدم، ولكنه مزاج رائق معبر عن عنفوان الكلمة فى هذا اللسان الشريف.
