يحتوى هذا الكتاب على مجموعة من المقالات فى الهوية والتى كتبها مجموعة مؤلفين وقرروا نشرها فى هذا الكتاب وهذه المقالات عن.. فى المقالة الأولى كان اللقاء مع الأستاذ الدكتور مصطفى سويف عالم علم النفس المعروف بدراساته المتعمقة فى مجال تخصصه وفى كتاباته الراهنة حول سئون الواقع المصرى. فى المقالة الثانيةعرض الاستاذ الدكتور على الدين هلال بعض التاملات فى هوية مصر والمصريين وقد ركز حديثه حول بعض العوامل التى تجعل من الهوية موضوعا هاما. اما المقالة الثالثة فقد كانت حول حديث د. وليم سليمان قلادة عن (مبدأ الموطفة فى التاريخ المصرى) وفى المقالة الرابعة كان اللقاء مع شوقى جلال ( حول الخصوصية: مظاهر القوة وعوامل الوهن) أما المقالة الخامسة فقد كانت حول لقاء مع باحث متفرد ومتمرد بشكل غير تقليدى قدم بحثا مختلفا تماما عن سياق الخطاب المتعارف عليه سواء فى اسلوب العرض المركب والذى يتميز بالنهج الصارم والمعلومات الدقيقة والموثقة.
