إن أفلاطون كاتب كبير وكاتب الحوارات المرتبطة بحوادث الحياة. وموت معلمه سقراط، هذا الأثيني الذي سحر عدد كبير من الشباب المشهورين، في أحاديثه يدرك ويغذي الفكر والحياة المسماة بـ :"الفلسفة" واحتفظ بانتقال مسائل مختلفة من: نظام العالم، المعرفة، الحقيقة والمعاني والنهايات، التي تعود إلى الفلسفة المقترحة.
كلا من العمل الحي والحركة اللذان يشكلان الحوارات والمفردات لم يصلا أبداً للإنتظام فالمواضيع التي حددت في قاموسنا هذا غير موجودة في حوارات أفلاطون.
الصلابة التي نمتلكها هنا متعمدة وهذا ما ندر وقلّ بعد ارسطو، شيئاً فشيئاً جاءت المدارس الفلاطونية (منذ تاسيس الأكاديمية الآثنية في 337 قبل ولادة المسيح حتى زوال المدرسة الآثينية في 59 بعد ولادة المسيح).
أصبح اللغة الأفلاطونية جامدة عند الوارثين والمفسرين، وابتعد المستشرقين عن العمل الأفلاطوني.
كتبنا هذا القاموس وبحثنا عن ظهور أفلاطون في كل فلسفة وجربنا تحليل المشاكل مبينين القناعات والمفاهيم وكانت هذه المواضيع من (المعرفة – الأشكال المفهومة – الروح) التي جعلناها نبذات فيما بعد، الإعداد والإستخدام يحتلان مجموعة أو جزء من العمل، عرّفنا مفاهيم عامة وعملنا بنفس الخيار الذي يمتلكه قاموسنا عندما ظهر في 2002 ومع ذلك مزجنا المفاهيم مع مواضيع وتعابير دقيقة جداً وبحثنا عن أمثلة أحائية بطريقة أفلاطون الذي كتب عمله واستند على كل أدوار اللغة الخاصة ليجعل المواضيع الجديدة تبحث عن التدخل في عدة نشاطات عامة.
