وترجع أهمية هذا الكتاب إلى مجموعة من المزايا منها: ضبط متن البخارى على النسخة السلطانية، وتخريج الأحاديث التى وافقه فيها مسملم، وكذا موافقة ترقيم الأحاديث، ثم إضافة حواش مثل "النكت على التقيح" وغيره فضلاً عما تتميز به من وجود تعليقات الأئمة مثل :ابن حجر، والبدر العينى، والقسطلانى، والسيوطى وغيرهم. مع تعليقات وتنبيهات ناصر الدين الألبانى من مختصره للبخارى. وسوف يجد القارئ لهذا الكتاب وهوامشه زاداً علمياً وفيراً.
