تَختارُ القصصُ مَوضوعاتَها مِنْ واقِعِ حياةِ الطِّفلِ وتَطوِّرِ اهتماماتِهِ، بأسلوبٍ يَعتمِدُ على الخيالِ والتَّشويقِ، وعلى اللغةِ البَسيطَةِ المَحدودَةِ.
لا تَهدِفُ القصصُ إلى إمتاعِ الطِّفلِ وحَسبُ، إنَّما هَدفُها الأساسيُّ تَشكيلُ وَعيهِ، ومَنحِهِ رؤيَةً سليمَةً للآخرينَ، وللعالَمِ مِنْ حولِهِ، بمنهجيَّةٍ تربويَّةٍ تبتعِدُ عنِ القَسرِ والوَعْظِ.
