وجدت نفسى أولاً أعتقد في إمكان الحديث عن الأمراض النفسية الاجتماعية باعتبارها علماً مستقلاً بظواهره وبأسلوب بحثه، وبأنه علم يستطيع أن يعطى علم النفس المرضى أكثر مما أخذ من ولازال يأخذه، وبأنه علم يمكنة أن يحل تماماً محل عديد من فروع التخصص فى ميدان الدراسات الاجتماعية، ولو لم أغال لقلت بأنه دراسة الإنسان فى شل أشمل وأعمق. ثم بدأت أتحوال تدريجياً- وقد كان تحولى هذا سريعا إلى حد ما- لأعتقد أننا (رجال العلوم الإنسانية بفروعها المختلفة) قد نجد في هذا الميدان نظرية موحدة موحدة لجهودنا.
