بعد صباحين من واقعة غطاء النبع الطائر كان الوجهاء الجدد في حاريت يتقدمهم محافظ الجبل وطليعة من السياح يفتتحون المغارة في ثوبها الجديد، لم يكادوا يفرغون من مراسم الاحتفال حتى ظهرت الطائرات في الجو كالبرق وبدأت الحمم تتساقط على الجميع من كل اتجاه ن تذكر كبير الوجهاء باب المغارة هرع إليه حاول جذبه فلم يفلح طلب مساعدة الحاضرين الفزعين من هلع القصف انفتح الباب جوف المغارة ركام من الظلمة والخطوات تنغرص في رطوبة أرضة المغارة لكن غريزة الحياة كانت اقوى من العتمة والأرضية الرطبة ، أخذت همهماتهم تعلو وبدا رويدا في جوف الرطوبة والظلمة والصدى يمنح حركتهم ايقاعا مخيفا وهم يواصلون خطواتهم كالخفافيش في عزلة الصمت والعتمة والرطوبة في جوف المغارة.
