تعد رواية «الأشرعة القرمزية»، مغامرة كلاسيكية عن الحب والأمل في أحلام الإنسان الجميلة، كتبها الروائي الروسي ألكسندر غرين في عام 1922م ونُشرت في العام الذي تلاه. تعود اليوم وتصدر بطبعتها العربية عن (الدار العربية للعلوم ناشرون، 2020). بكل ما تحمله من تعابير أدبية فريدة ورسائل إنسانية عميقة عن قدرة الإنسان على الحب وتحقيق السعادة. هذه الرواية الخيالية العميقة تعرض للقراء قصة أسول، وهي فتاة صغيرة متفائلة، كانت منبوذة في قريتها التي تعيش فيها، عندما أنبأها حكيم غامض عن سفينة ضخمة ذات أشرعة قرمزية سوف تأتي إليها. فصارت أسول أكثر انعزالاً عن جيرانها الذين يرونها صغيرة وضعيفة العقل. وفي تطور مفعم بالحيوية نرى أحداثاً تتصاعد دراميّاً، لتنتهي إلى خاتمة غير متوقعة للرواية. لقد أسعدت رواية «الأشرعة القرمزية» القراء الروس منذ عقود طويلة، وأثرت أيضاً على المجتمع الروسي لدرجة أن هناك احتفالاً سنوياً في مدينة سانت بيترسبيرغ بهذه الرواية، يتمثّل بمرور سفينة ذات أشرعة قرمزية في نهر المدينة، كما أنه قد تم إنتاج فيلم عن هذه الرواية في عام 1961م. هذه الرواية ستسعد القراء في مختلف مراحل أعمارهم، وتثريهم بالأمل مع التجديد والتصحيح لمعتقداتهم بالجمال الروحي للإنسان.
