لستُ منهم ولن أكون، لن استمرَّ في الدوران مغمض العينين مثل ثور الساقية، ولن أكتب حكايتي على صفحة الماء، ما أن انتهي من خط حرفٍ حتى ينمحي ما قبله، لستُ جباناً يا ندى... وما سأقدم عليه ليس مبرراً للهروب، أنا فقط أرثي حالي وحال هذه البقعةِ التي تطاردها اللعنات منذ أن وُجِدتْ على ظهر هذا الكوكب المسكين، الذي يتناوب على اغتصابه المجانين مذ ولد سابحاً في فضاءٍ مخيفٍ لا قرارَ له.
الصندوقُ الخشبي يلاحقني... وحفّار القبورِ يعطرُ فأسَهُ بالكافور... إنهم يريدون منّا أن نكونَ شيئاً بلا روح، مثل قطعةِ مطاطٍ أو خشب، جماداً لا روح فيه، خاضعاً لا يغضب ولا يثور.
اعذري جنوني يا ندى، سأطلق الآن رصاصتي الأخيرة.
سأخرج من تلك المهزلة، لأنَّني غير مقتنعٍ بالهلوسة البغيضة التي زُجِجْتُ فيها رغماً عني؛ مثلما زُجَّ فيها كثيرون غيري.
سأكون عندك في الموعد المحدد، عند الساعة السابعة، مساء الخميس، الأسبوع المقبل... انتظريني كما اتفقنا سلفاً... لن أخلف الموعد.
