يبحث كتاب "زورق من الورق" بالدرجة الأولى فى أصول الأنثروبولوجية المسرحية ومبادئها، وذلك لا يعنى دراسة الاختلافات بين ثقافات الشعوب، كما يمكن أن تقوم به الأنثروبولوجية الثقافية، بل البحث فى تشخيص الأرضية الأساسية "لن الممثل" قبل أن يكون أسلوب أو جماليات إبداع فنان معين سواء كان العمل فيه "سورياليا" أو "رمزيا" أو "واقعيا" أو.. إلخ.
والحركة هى امتداد للفعل، وليست فى الفعل، وينبغى أن يكون لها استقلاليتها عن الكلام (لا وراء ولا مع) وأن تأخذ صورتها وتكوينها الفعلى، ويكون هناك بذلك جهد إبداعى للمثل يواجه الجهد الإبداعى المستقل للمؤلف.
