Book Description
كنا نرصد نيران مشتعلة في المدي البعيد. وكان أبي يشير ناحيتها وهو يقول لنا ولنفسه إنها ربما تكون في سيناء، ثم يصمت وهو شارد فيعود قائلاً: تكون مصيبة إن كانت عند خط القنال!
كنا نسمعه! ولم يتثن لي وقتها أن أتأكد من زعمه إن كان صحيحاً، أم أن الصواب قد جانبه، لكنها كانت النيران، وكنا نراها جميعاً وهي تجري متلاحقة كالشهب، أو هي تهرب من الأرض باتجاه السماء، أو تضئ لبرهة جانباً من الفضاء، وكان الذي تأكدنا منه جميعاً بعد أيام من انطلاق الحرب أننا هزمنا، فسقطت غزة، وضاعت منا سيناء ودمرت كل مدن محافظات القناة في لحظات معدودات!
يقول غنت أم كلثوم، وأنشد محمد عبد الوهاب، وأشعل فينا الثورة صوت عبد الحليم حافظ، كانت الكلمات كبيرة كبر أحلامنا وواسعة المعاني قدر أخيلتنا. وكانت الألحان قوية حتي لتكاد أن تقفز من فرط حماستنا -معها- قلوبنا! وكان الهواء يتسرب بنوره إلي أجسادنا فتظل مستيقظة حتي لو داهمها النعاس!
كان الراديو يفيض حماساً وبياناته تداعب طموحاتنا وأخيلتنا، فعشنا حلم يقظة جميل تمنينا ألا ينته، لكننا صحونا مضطرين لما انطفأ الصوت، واختبأت البيانات، وسلم خالي نفسه بسيارته العسكرية التي صارع بها الجحيم في سيناء وهبط بها البلدة ليلاً إلي مركز الشرطة حتي لا يتهم بالجبن والهرب من المعركة فيحاكم بالخيامة!
علمنا وقتها أننا أنتكسنا، ويوم دخلت هذه الكلمة بيتنا خرج أبي عن وقاره وحياده، وسبني لما سألته ببراءة عن الفارق في المعني بين النكسة والهزيمة؟
