قد حظى موضوع لغة القرآن الكريم اهتمام كثير من علماء الأمة الإسلامية قديماً وحديثا لما له من شرف الانتماء غلى كتاب الله عز وجل وخاصة انه يتناول لغة القرآن الكريم، التي كانت محور الإعجاز السماوي لمة تفجرت ينابيع بلاغتها. وقد تباينت آراء العلماء فى اللغة التى نزل بها القرآن الكريم فقال بعضهم إنها لغة قريش وقال آخرون: إنها تجمع جميع لغات العرب لن القرآن نزل لسائر البشر وقال آخرون : غنه قرىن عربي وليس فيه شئ معرب أو دخيل وادلى كل بدلوه معبراً عن رأيه مؤيداً بالشواهد فأصبح عامة الناس فى حيرة من أمرهم ومن ثم نشات المشكلة ملحة حول بيان لغة القرآن الكريم ، واتسع الميدان أمام العلماء فتنافسوا في تأليف كتب الغريب والغرائب وتحديد ما نزل بلغة القبائل المختلفة ومن هؤلاء العلماء شيخ المفتين أبو حيان الأندلسي.
