Le temps a toujours servi de frontière entre le monde des corps et le monde de l’esprit. Les choses naturelles sont "prises" par le temps: elles naissent, croissant, viennent à maturité, puis s’en vont vers leur déclin. L’esprit seul reste. C’est une présence stable, permanente. Or voici qu’Heidegger découvre que le sens de "être" s’éclaircit grâce au temps. Chacun dit "je suis" en sentant "maintenant". Prajnanpad voit dans l’instant présent le seul temps reel. Nous percevons tout à présent, jamais "avant" ou "après". Le "main-tenant" tient ensemble l’homme qui perçoit et le monde vu. Il faut synchronizer le dedans et le dehors et les fusionner pour aboutir au Soi réel. Sadra réalise que la mission du présent n’est pas de regarder passer mais de faire passer l’un dans l’autre l’extérieur et l’intérieur, de spiritualiser le corps et de concrétiser l’esprit.
Ces trios grands esprits convertissent le temps qui fuit en un rythme où l’être c’est le devenir et le devenir l’être. Ils nous accordent à une pulsation existentielle où toutes choses s’interpénètrent dans un éternel présent. Nous sommes les porteurs de cet instant divin qui se renouvelle sans jamais se repeater. L’homme se libère en participant à l’acte créateur. Nous sommes ainsi invités à la fête du nouveau, qui est le secret de la Création.
