يتناول موضوع التربية على قيم ومبادئ حقوق الإنسان من منظور اسلامي ويقدم تأصيلا لقيم ومبادئ حقوق الانسان في الإسلام مسترشدا بالكتاب والسنة وسيرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وصلم والخلفاء الراشدين من بعده في مديان التأصيل النظري والممارسة العملية ويبين كيف سبق الإسلام المواثيق الوضعية لحقوق الانسان وإلى أى حد تميزت فلسفة الاسلام في تقرير مبادئ حقوق الانسان كما يقدم تصورا لدور التربية بمفهومها الشامل في تنمية الوعي بقيم ومبادئ حقوق الإنسان ويسعى هذا الكتاب إلى تخحويل حقوق الإنسان إلى هدف تربوي تسعى التربية بكل مؤسساتها ان تحققه. ويأتي هذا الكتاب في وقت ترتفع فيه الاصوات بالدعوة لاحترام الانسان ونشر الوعي بها حيث نادت العديد من الندوات والمؤتمرات التى تعقدها المؤسسات الدولية والمنظمات والهيئات والحركات غير الحكومية المهتمة بحقوق الانسان لتضمن قيم ومبادئ حقوق الانسان في المناهج المقررات الدراسية بمراحل التعليم المختلفة. كما يأتي هذا الكتاب في وقت تنتشر فيه انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في شتى بقاع الأرض وبخاصة الدول النامية وعلى الأخص منطقة الشرق الاوسط وغالبا ما تكون الدول الكبرى عاملا فاعلا ومؤثرا في اشعال جذوة هذه الانتهاكات وبذلك يحين الوقت لتوضيح الرؤية الإسلامية لحقوق الانسان ودور التربية بمؤسساتها المختلفة في تنمية الوعي بها وايضا يأتي هذا الكتاب وقت استخدم فيه الغرب حقوق الانسان كوسيلة لتشوية صورة الاسلام والادعاء بان المجتمعات الاسلامية مجتمعات يسود فيها التعصب الديني والاستبداد الفكري والسياسي وعدم احترام الحريات والتمييز ضد المرأة وقد يسهم هذا الكتاب في توضيح الصورة الحقيقة للإسلام وكيف كان سباقا ومتميزا في تقرير حقوق الانسان وكيف اعلى من قيمة الانسان جسدا وروحا ورجلا وامراه على السواء.
