Book Description
نيوتن العالم الفيزيائي والرياضي العظيم، يكتب في نقد الكتاب المقدس، لا بد أن هذا كان حدثاً علمياً في حينه؛ كانت عقيدة نيوتن كانت شديدة التركيب، وكان إيمانه يجمع بين تأمله وتفسيره الشخصي للكتاب المقدس وبين بعض الأفكار الآريوسية والسوسينيانية عن المسيح، كما أنه كان رافضاً للثالوث ويعتقد بالتوحيد، لكن في ذات الوقت كان يعتقد بالوجود المسبق للمسيح.
تأتي هذه الترجمة من "مركز نماء" لرسالة كتبها نيوتن إلى صديق له، يحاول إثبات إيمانه التوحيدي ورفضه للثالوث عن طريق فحصه لكثير من الوثائق والشواهد التاريخية المرتبطة بالنصين محل البحث، وعن طريق تقديم الكثير من الإعتراضات المنطقية والتاريخية على صحبة نسبة تلك النصوص.
وقد أضاف فريق الترجمة إلى الرسالة الأصلية مقدمة عن نيوتن وفكره الديني، وعن علم النقد النصي وتطوره وموقع الرسالة من ذلك العلم؛ سعياً لمزيد بيان لموقف نيوتن العقيدي، ولتوضيح موقف علم النقد النصي في صورته الحديثة من نفس النصين اللذين فحصهما نيوتن في رسالته.
تأتي هذه الترجمة، ضمن سلسلة "ترجمات" التي يصدرها مركز "نماء"، رغباً في تجويد العقل العربي النقدي والمقارن، وبحثاً عن بناء معرفي تراكمي مثمر ومنهجي وناضج.
