إن الفكر الاستراتيجي قد عرف منذ أواخر القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي ولم يأخذ مفهومه الشامل إلا بنهاية الحرب العالمية الثانية وأصبح التخطيط الاستراتيجي هو الوسيلة التي تحقق بها الأمم أمنها والأمة الإسلامية تعيش الآن في ضعف وانهيار بسبب انفصالها عن كتاب ربها وسنة نبيها "صلى الله عليه وسلم" وضعف الإيمان في نفوس أبنائها وعدم وضوح منظومة القيم الإسلامية في النفوس ومن هنا فإن الأمة الإسلامية في حاجة إلى تجديد الإيمان في نفوس أبناءها وإلى تجلية منظومة القيم الإسلامية.. وإن الفكر الاستراتيجي وحده بالطبع لا يمكن أن يحقق نهضة أمة ولا يمكن أن تبنى عليه الحضارة التي تؤدي إلى إعمار الأرض وقيام الجنس البشري بواجب الخلافة فيها.
