في البدء كانت الأسطورة، وفي البدء كانت القصيدة. دُرَرٌ من القصائد الإيطالية لبياتريس برسّان نقلها إلى العربية نقلاً جميلاً أنيقاً رائعاً فادي أبو ديب، ونقلتها من اللغة الأصلية إلى الإنكليزية بياتريس دي ميريلس، تؤكد ما سبق لجبرا إبراهيم جبرا أن ذكره في وصف طبيعة الشعر، فهو أسطورة في هيئة قصيدة، أو قصيدة في هيئة أسطورة، قصائد متعددة في الظاهر، متكاملة في الواقع، مثل نص طويل واحدٍ، مستوحى من أسطورة افريقية واحدة، هي أسطورة ماكوندِه. لذا جاءت نسيجا متجانسا من الخيال الأسطوري، ومن التعبير الشعري الرقيق، والحالم، الذي لا يفتأ يشفّ عن حرارة المعاناة الإنسانية في سبيل السلام، والصداقة، والحب، عبر كل قارات العالم.
أريد لهذا الجدار
أن يتهافت
من أجل التعاطف مع المختلفين
فيصير قيثارةً للسلام
تحت سقف المظلّة الكونيّة
وهذا الديوان – القصيدة، إذا جاز التعبير- تتخلله فواصل نثرية تعيدنا إلى أجواء الأسطورة القديمة التي نسجت منها بياترس برسّان هذا الكنز الذهبي من الشعر الرقيق، والإبداع العذب المُصفَّى، بكلمات لا تستسلم للخوف، ولا تنحني أمام الشر، بل تكافحه الأن، وإلى الأبد.
