يلعب الأدب بأنواعه النثرية والشعرية دوراً هاماً فى توعية المجتمع بأهم القضايا المحيطة به .. وفيما يتعلق بالصراع العربي الإسرائيلى والطموحات الصهيونية ، تأتى هذه المسرحية التى أبدعها "سعيد حجاج" لتلعب هذا الدور المنوط بالأدب وبجدارة وإقتدار. فقد نجح المؤلف فيها فى تعرية الشخصية ونظريات هشة تكون نواة لواقع مؤلم كواقع فلسطين المحتلة، مستخدمة فى هذا أحط الأساليب وأخطرها وتتلخص فى السيطرة على مراكز القرار والدعم المالى الضخم وتغييب المجتمعات بالجنس والمخدرات وما شابه ذلك، وهو ما ظهر جلياً فى هذه المسرحية الذى قام مؤلفها بالربط بين الواقع وبين هذه الشخصية.. فاستعان بفيلم حقيقة للمخرج اليهودى "ديفيد رول" يقدم قصة مفادها أن قرية "تل الضبعة" المصرية هى موطن سيدنا يوسف "عليه السلام"، وقد وهبها فرعون مصرله والإخوته آنذاك، وهى الفكرة التى تمثل نقطة إنطلاق المسرحية التى نجحت فى تبيين وفضح هذه الأكاذيب اليهودية من خلال احداثها التى درات فى هذه القرية المصرية. ليكون فى النهاية لدينا نصاً مسرحياً يحمل موضوعاً محكم الجوانب وحبكته المشوقة والواقعية.. وفى نهاية هذا كله هو ناقوساً يدق محذراً من كذب قدر يتحول إلى واقع دون أن نشعر.
