لذا فالهدف من هذا الكتاب هو إعطاء نبذة تاريخية عن الرياضيات وليس حصراً شاملاً لتاريخها على مر العصور , كما أنه يهدف إلى تزويد القاريء سواء كان متخصصاً أو غير متخصص بالمعلومات الطريفة والطرق الرياضية المتنوعة والشيقة التي من شأنها أن تبث الحياة في مناهج الرياضيات وتجعلها أكثر متعة.
