يعد علم التجويد من أهم العلوم الشرعية، وذلك لتعلقه بكلام البارئ سبحانه وتعالى، وقد قال العلماء: إن تعلمه فرض كفاية، والعمل به فرض عينٍ على كل مكلف يريد قراءة شيء من القرآن الكريم، وأدنى حدٍّ لصحة التلاوة...أن تسلم من الإخلال بالمعنى أو الإعراب، أو بهما معاً. لذلك حرص الأئمة القراءة في شتى العصور على التأليف في التجويد، بين منظوم ومنثور ومطول ومختصر.
وكان من بين تلك التآلف منظومة "المقدمة" فيما يجب على قارئ القرآن أن يعلمه لإمام الدنيا في علوم التجويد والقراءات، شيخ القراء العلامة ابن الجزاري. فقد حوت على صغر حجمها جل أبحاث التجويد الهامة، مع حسن سبك، ودقة لفظ، وجمال أسلوب، ولهذا أقبل العلماء في شتى الإعصار على شرحها وإخراج ما فيها من كنوز، وإبراز ما حدث من لطائف، كما وأقبل عليها المحققون في محاولة منهم لتوضيح ما أبهم منها من معاني ومفردات، والمميز الطبعة التي بين أيدينا هو أنها جاءت محققة ومصححة على نسخت المخطوطة الأصلية، وأنها جاءت بحجم صغير ليسهل حملها ومطالعتها من قبل القراء المهتمين بقراءة هذه المنظومة.
إن أهمية كل علم.. تكمن في أهمية متعلَّقِهِ. لأجل هذا فإن علم التجويد من أشرف العلوم، لتعلقه بكلام المولى سبحانه وتعالى، والعلوم المتعلقة بكتاب الله تعالى كثيرة. وفيما يتعلق بتلاوة القرآن الكريم.. فإن الإمام ابن الجزري من أجلِّ من ألَّف في ذلك..
وهذه المنظومة المباركة قد جرت عادة القراء في شتى البلاد على الاعتناء بها؛ تلاوة وشرحاً وحفظاً وتحفيظاً. والآن نقدمها للقارئ الكريم مضبوطة الرواية والشكل، واضحة ميسَّرة إن شاء الله تعالى، وذلك بعناية الشيخ المقرئ أيمن رشدي سويد.
