- حصل على ليسانس دار العلوم عام ( 1966م )، ثم على الماجستير من الكلية نفسها ( 1972م )، ثم على الدكتوراه ( 1980م ) بعد مهمة علمية إلى فرنسا.
* السيرة العلمية والوظيفية: - معيد بكلية دار العلوم من ( 1966م ).
- مدرس مساعد بكلية دار العلوم ( 1972م ).
- مدرس بكلية دار العلوم ( 1980م ).
أستاذ مساعد بكلية دار العلوم ( 1990م ).
- أستاذ بكلية دار العلوم ( 1995م ).
- أعير إلى كلية التربية بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض سنة ( 1983م - 1988م ).
- أعير إلى كلية الشريعة بجامعة قطر من ( 1993م - 1998م ).
- عاد بعدها للعمل أستاذًا بكلية دار العلوم مرة أخرى.
- اختير عضوًا بلجنة الفكر الإسلامي بالمجلس الأعلى للشؤون الإسلامية ( 1998م ).
- انتخب عضوًا بمجمع اللغة العربية بالقاهرة ( 2003م ).
- عمل أستاذًا زائرًا بكلية الشريعة بجامعة اليرموك عام ( 2005م ).
- عمل أستاذًا بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة للتدريس بقسم الدراسات العليا أربعة فصول دراسية.
- عضو بلجنة الفلسفة بالمجلس الأعلى للثقافة بمصر ( 2008م ).
- عضو اللجان الاستشارية بمكتبة الإسكندرية عن الفلسفة والديانات منذ عام ( 2008م ).
- قام بتدريس مواد الفلسفة الإسلامية في كليات الألسن بجامعة عين شمس، التربية بجامعة قناة السويس، الآداب بجامعة طنطا، الدراسات العربية والإسلامية بالفيوم، الآداب والتربية بجامعة المنوفية، والجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، معهد الدراسات الإسلامية بالقاهرة، كلية الشريعة بجامعة اليرموك - الأردن.
