مسائل الكتاب هذه تمثل المفاهيم الأساسية لعلم الكترونيات القدرة الكهربائية وبدراسة هذه المسائل يتمكن الطالب أو المهندس من فهم كافة التطبيقات الهندسية لهذا العلم، حيث تم البدء بطرح الدرات الكهربائية المكونة من نصف ناقل وحيد وصولاً لأكثر التطبيقات الهندسية دقة وحداثة.
وعليه، نكون قد غطينا جسور التقويم المقادة والنصف مقادة التفرعية البسيطة والمضاعفة والتسلسلية، كما وضعنا العديد من المسائل في ربط المجموعات على التفرع وعلى التسلسل وصولاً للمجموعات ذات الإتجاه المزدوج للتيار وتطبيقاتها على المحركات التسلسلية وخطوط النقل بالتيار المستمر عالي التوتر، والقيادة الذاتية للمحركات التزامنية.
في الكتاب الثاني بدءنا بالتبديل والحجز القسري ثم عرضنا مسائل شاملة على المقطعات الثيرستورية والترانزستورية، وبعدها وضعنا مسائل على معرجات التوتر والتيار وتطبيقاتها ثم وضعنا مسائل على منظمات التوتر المتناوب أو المدرجات ومبدلات التردد الثيرستورية.
بعد إنتشار وتطور علوم الطاقات المتجددة كان لا بد من توسيع مدارك الطلاب في علم إلكترونيات القدرة الكهربائية، نظراً لكون مختلف مجالات الطاقة المتجددة (الشمسية والريحية وخلايا الوقود، وتخزين القدرة) تعتمد على علم إلكترونيات القدرة الكهربائية وأصبح من الضروري تفهم مرحلة الربط بين هذه المصادر (المنابع) المتنوعة والشبكة العامة أو المستثمر المباشر، كما أن تطبيقات الجر الكهربائي وتنظيم السرعة سواء للمحركات الصناعية أو المولدات الريحية يتطلب التحكم بتوتر وتردد العمل لهذه الآلات، وعليه فإن حل مسائل على هذه التطبيقات كان ضرورياً لتحقيق التكامل بين إلكترونيات القدرة الكهربائية وكافة التقنيات الصناعية المتداولة عالمياً.
قسم كل كتاب إلى فصول متعددة، في كل فصل تم حل ما أمكن من المسائل بحيث يستوفي الموضوع حقه دون تكرار وإطالة في الكتاب الأول "مسائل محلولة في أنظمة التبديل من التيار المتناوب إلى التيار المستمر والتحكم بالمحركات" تم معالجة مسائل التبديل في التوتر المتناوب إلى التوتر المستمر، وفي الكتاب الثاني "مسائل محلولة في أنظمة المقطعات والمعرجات والمدرجات" تم معالجة أنظمة التبديل من المستمر إلى المستمر، ومن المستمر إلى المتناوب، وكذلك من المتناوب إلى المتناوب سواء عند نفس التردد أو عند تردد أقل.
