«المقدمة الحضرمية» للعلاَّمة الفقيه عبد الله بافضل الحضرمي من أجلِّ المختصرات وأنفعها، وأحسن المؤلفات وأوجزها، ولو قُدِّر لمصنفه إتمامه.. لكان فائقاً على ما سواه، متفرداً بالسبق لما حواه، حتى إن عمدة الفقهاء المتأخرين المحققَ أحمدَ ابن حجر الهيتمي المكي الشافعي سأل الله تعالى في آخر شرحه للمقدمة أن ييسر عليه إتمامه متناً؛ تكميلاً لما وجد، وشرحاً للجميع، وما ذلك إلا لما تميزت به هذه «المقدمة» من خصائص علت بها إلى سماء الإتقان والجودة، وتفردت بانتقاء المعتمد في المذهب.
هذا، وإن من أجلِّ ما كتب عليها من الشروح، وأحسن ما تحلت به هذه «المقدمة» من حلى الإيضاحات هو شرح العلامة المتفنن باعشن، الذي سماه «بشرى الكريم»، فهو من الأهمية بمكان؛ لما تميز به من الكشف عن مخدَّرات هذا «المختصر»، وإبراز فوائده مجلوّة تتهادى في حلل التبيان، وتميس في برود الإتقان، وكان هذا من أعظم الشواهد على صحة قول العلماء الباحثين : (كم ترك الأول للآخر)، وقولهم : (ما أغنى كتاب عن كتاب).
ومن تمعَّن بفهم وحذق في هذا الشرح المفيد.. فإنه سوف يجد الحكمة اليمانية، والفقه الأصيل متمثلين في تضاعيف هذا الشرح بجلاء ووضوح، وذلك لأن الشارح راعى تقريب المسائل الفقهية إلى الأذهان بعبارات بعيدة عن التعقيد، نائية عن الإخلال والطول، مبرأة من وصمة الحشو، وكثيراً ما يشير إلى الدليل أو تقييد التعليل؛ ليعرف طلبة العلم مستقى الفقهاء، وأدلة العلماء، ومسالك المجتهدين.
و«بشرى الكريم» قد طبع قديماً طبعة عادية اعتراها التحريف، ولعبت بها رياح التصحيف، فكان الكتاب وطلبة العلم معاً بحاجة إلى طبعة جديدة منقحة محققة، تتدارك تلك الأخطاء وتصححها، وتلهث وراء التصحيفات وتقوِّمها.. فاضطلعت دار المنهاج بهذه المهمة، واستجلبت ثلاث نسخ خطِّية موثَّقة، منها ما كتب في عصر المؤلف، ومنها ما كتب بعده، وقامت ثلة من طلبة العلم بالدار بمقابلة المخطوطات، وتصحيح نصوص الكتاب تصحيحاً يثلج صدور طلبة العلم، وتبرأ به الذمة.
