حين ستقرأ هذه الموسوعة ستدرك جيّداً أنَّ ما نحن فيه اليوم هو ثمرةُ عطاء شعوب وهبَت الكثير من الإبتكارات، سأترك الحديث عنها الآن لتستمتع بالتَّعرف إليها في صفحات هذه الموسوعة، ولكي تكتشف كيف وصلنا إلى عصرنا الحاليِّ، ما أودُّ الإشارة إليه فقط هو أنّنا من خلال هذا العمل؛ نستطيع ان نتخيّل سويّاً كيف كان عالمنا حين ظهر الإنسان الأوَّل، بكلِّ بساطةٍ، كان عالماً خالياً من جميع مظاهر الإستيطان؛ أي: أرضٌ بكرٌ، وهي، بلا شكٍّ المسرح الأول؛ الذي يعدُّ الإنسان أهمَّ أبطاله، أمّا بالنّسبة إلى مجريات الأحداث وتفاصيل قصة الإنسانيّة سنتعرّف إليها من خلال ما سيرد ذكره في هذه الموسوعة من ثقافاتِ عصور ما قبل التاريخ وحضارات العصور التّاريخيّة، تمَّ عرضها في ستّة مجلدات، أوّلها: للحديث عن شعوب العالم وثقافاتها خلال العصر الحجري القديم (الصيادون الأوائل)، وتناول الثاني: شعوب العالم وثقافاتها خلال العصرين الحجريين الحديث والنُّحاسي (المزارعون الأوائل)، أما الثَّالث فكان للحديثِ عن شعوب العالم وحضاراتها خلال عصرَيْ البرونز والحديد، وكان الرّابع لشعوب وحضارات العالم منذ نهاية عصر الحديد حتّى قيام الإمبراطوريَّة الرومانيَّة الشرقيّة حتى الحرب العالمية الأولى، في حين كان السادس للشعوب البدائيَّة المنعزلة في أطراف العالم.
