بصوته الذي غُرزت في حنجرته حنان و كبرياء المقامات العراقية ،فلا نكاد نذكر بغداد إلا و يتهادى إلى ذاكرتنا ذلك الصوت الرقيق الرخيم في آن واحد كأنهُ معجزة ،هيبةالرعد و رقة المطر، هكذا كان صوتهُ ، فأشبه مايكون صدحه كجمهور اتقن كُل المعازف بسلاسة و ذكاء, وبرغم الضروف القاسية التي أبعدته عن هذا الشغف إلا انه كانيبني طريقه و لا يمل ولا يكل كأنه يؤمن بأنهُ يوماً ما سيصل بطريقة أَو بأُخرى ،فكانت القراءة مُلهمتهُ ومواساته الوحيدة في ظروف قد يتخلى فيها المرء عن نفسه ،لكنه أَصرَّلما يراه من عظمة رسالته التي يجب أَن تظهر للعالم و يُكتب لها الوصول إلى مواطنها لتزهر و تُؤثر على نحو جميل وعميق, وذلك التمازج المُلفت بين حزن صوته و نقاءه وبسماته التي تمسح على صفحات الموسيقى كمنتصر يتذكر تفاصيل معركته المؤلمة لكنهُ مازال بنشوة نصره فرحاً, ناظم الغزالي قيثارة الرافدين البشرية و عود أَكد الأقربإلى الوجدان و النفس الرقيقة.
