يعد مجمع اللغة العربية بالقاهرة أكبر هيئة علمية يصدر عنها قرارات متعلقة باللغة العربية إلا أن كثيراً من الباحثين والكتاب لا يعرفون عن هذا المجتمع وقراراته سوى القليل، ومنهم من لا يحفل به ولا يقدرانه، ومنهم من يقلل من أهميتها محتجاً بضعفها، وبقلة حصيلة أعضائه من العلوم اللغوية، وغيرها من الحجج. من هنا برز للباحث ضرورة الوقوف على مصداقية هذه الادعاءات أو عدمها، من خلال وقوفه، على نتاج المجمع فيما يخص النحو والتصريف، لإنصاف هذا المجمّع أو أدانته، وجاء نتيجة لذلك هذه الرسالة الجامعية التي تأسست على مقدمة وتمهيد، وتكونت من قسمين وخاتمة وفهارس. التمهيد وفيه الحديث عن: نشأة المجمع، وأسبابها أهداف المجمع، لجانه، أعماله. القسم الأول: كرسه الباحث لقرارات المجمع النحوية والتصريفية جمعاً ودراسة. القسم الثاني تم فيه تناول منهج المجمع في القرارات النحوية والتصريفية. واختتم الباحث دراسته بأهم النتائج والتوصيات التي ارتآها في أثناء بحثه، وبفهارس تعين القارئ على الإفادة منه، وفهرس للأبيات الشعرية، وفهرس للأعلام مع ترجمة موجزة لهم، وفهرس لمسائل القرارات النحوية والتصريفية، وثبت بالمصادر والمراجع، وفهرس للموضوعات. وقد نال الباحث بهذه الرسالة درجة العالية الماجستير بتقدير ممتاز.
