إن هذه التوضيحات مستفادة من غالب ما له صلة بالتدمرية وعلى رأسها مجموع ما ألقاه شيخنا الدكتور محمد الخميّس من محاضرات وما قُيّد من ذلك في مذكرات وما يتعلق بالتدمرية من مصنفات وهي كما يلي: 1-تحقيق الدكتور محمد عودة السعوي للتدمرية: وقد استفدت منه أصل التحقيق فاعتمدت على نصه المحقق وإضافاته في الحاشية بالإضافة إلى ما وضعه من عناوين وقد أغير أحياناً، 2-التحفة المهدية للشيخ فالح المهدي: وقد استفدت منها في شرح بعض العبارات بالإضافة إلى ما ذكره من فوائد واستطرادات.
3-تقريب التدمرية للعلامة ابن عثيمين: وكانت الإستفادة من تحقيقاته الفائقة وتهذيباته الرائقة وتقسيماته وتلخيصاته، 4-الأجوبة المرضية في تقريب التدمرية لأبي مصعب الجزائري: وقد حصلت عليه مؤخراً بعد إكتمال التوضيحات إلا أنني أعجبت بعنايته الحديثية وإهتمامه بتخريج النصوص الأثرية فاستفدت من ذلك، 5-توضيح مقاصد المصطلحات العلمية في الرسالة التدمرية لشيخنا الدكتور الخميّس: فقد استفدت منها في تسهيل المصطلحات وتوضيح التعريفات ولم أهمل منها شيئاً - إن شاء الله.
بالإضافة إلى عديد من الإضافات من مختلف الكتب والمصنفات، فبذلك تكون هذه التوضيحات الأثرية قد جمعت بين الشرح والتوضيح والجمع والتهذيب والتلخيص والتقسيم والمناقشة.
